The purpose of this blog is twofold. Firstly, it is an online portfolio for the purposes of ongoing professional teacher registration.  Secondly, it is a record of my own teaching practice (and critical reflections on practice) and the ideas and intentions that spring from my professional reading. It is my intention that this blog will change and adapt with my teaching practice.

I am passionate about:

  • critical thinking skills
  • giving students the skills to be conscious consumers of media and social media and be able to think for themselves.
  • humanities (particularly history)
  • the psychology of learning

I would consider my job well done if students left school with a desire to learn more about the world in which they live.

Use the menus above to navigate through my ideas, research and ramblings.
